Make healthy sandwich wraps with our tasty low carb Flax Wrap recipe. I like to fill mine with roasted chicken, bacon, tomatoes, cheese, avocado and shredded lettuce. So GOOD!
Ingredients
1-1/4 cups Golden Flax Seed Meal
3/4 cup Water
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Instructions
In a sauce pan on medium heat bring to a boil the water, then add the seasonings and simmer for about 1-2 minutes.
Turn the burner to low heat then add to the pot of hot water the flax seed meal and stir with a wooden spoon until it forms a dough, for about 2-3 minutes. Remove the pot from the stove and place the dough onto a piece of parchment paper allowing the dough to cool a little for about a minute.
Cut the dough into 4 even pieces. Place one of the dough pieces in between two pieces of parchment paper. Using a rolling pin flatten into a thin circles about the thickness of a tortilla and put on a plate, repeat the process with the remaining dough.
Place a large skillet on the stove on medium heat and cook each flax wrap for about 1-2 minutes on each side. Place each wrap onto a plate to cool completely before using.
